The Goldeyes, fresh off of being swept in a doubleheader on Wednesday, rallied to take the series finale Thursday afternoon. The Goldeyes scored in every inning from the fifth to eighth en route to the win.
CF Reggie Abercrombie scored on an error in the fifth for Winnipeg, and DH Casey Haerther hit an RBI groundout to plate RF Kaohi Downing later in the inning. LF Donnie Webb hit a solo home run in the sixth, and 2B Brock Bond scored on an error in the seventh. 1B Luis Alen hit a two-RBI single in the eighth and scored on a Haerther double.
Haearther and Abercrombie had three hits each for the Goldeyes, and 2B Sam Maus was 4-for-5 for St. Paul. 1B Angelo Songco had three of the 12 Saints hits.
RHP Ethan Hollingsworth struck out four in six and 2/3 innings as he earned the win for the Goldeyes.
