St. Louis Ambush News Release
St. Charles, MO (January 10, 2018) - The St. Louis Ambush will trade the St. Louis winter (predicted high of 26 degrees on gameday) for a trip to Lakeland Florida (predicted high of 77 degrees on gameday) as they face the Florida Tropics this Friday, January 12 at 6:35 p.m. CT.
Perhaps the change in climate will help the 1-11 Ambush heat up and post a victory against the 6-5 Tropics, who are 3-3 at home at the RP Funding Center. This is the second and final meeting between these two teams this season. The Tropics won the first duel 8-5 on New Year's Eve at the Family Arena in St. Charles.
There will be a familiarity factor in play for Friday's match as players on both sides have played for the other side:
Ambush defender Raphael Nascimento appeared in 17 games with the Tropics last season and one game this season before being dealt to St. Louis on January 5.
Tropics forward Freddy Moojen appeared in 12 games with the Ambush during the 2015-16 season.
Tropics midfielder Anthony Arico appeared in 3 games with the Ambush during the 2014-15 season and 14 games during the 2015-16 season.
Tropics goalkeeper Piotr Sliwa appeared in 11 games with the Ambush during the 2015-16 season.
Friday's game will be webcast live at masl.tv.
Following Friday's battle in Florida, the Ambush return home to the Family Arena on Friday, January 19 at 7:35 p.m. CT, when the Syracuse Silver Knights come to town .
