
Amarri Jackson Joins Gladiators

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Gladiators have been assigned wide receiver Amarri Jackson, the League office announced today.
Jackson (6-4, 220, South Florida) enters his fifth season in the AFL and his first with the Gladiators. After hauling in 110 passes for 1341 yards and 21 touchdowns in 18 games with the Tampa Bay Storm last season, Jackson came in at No. 35 on the Top 50 AFL Players of 2014 countdown list, as voted on by AFL players.
In four seasons in the League, Jackson has totaled 356 receptions for 4,575 yards and 85 touchdowns. He began his career in the AFL by breaking Freddie Solomon's Storm rookie records for most touchdowns and receptions in a season with 35 and 125, respectively. The next season, he caught 77 passes for 1,012 yards and 20 scores with the Storm before splitting time with the Orlando Predators and San Jose Sabercats in 2013.
The Sarasota, FL native played collegiately at the University of South Florida from 2005 to 2007. He played in 31 games with the Bulls, catching 70 passes for 891 yards and five touchdowns.
