Amarillo, TX 2/9/10- The Amarillo indoor football team, with the help from football fans across the Panhandle, have named their indoor team the "Amarillo Venom", the club announced Tuesday.
"We appreciate everyone's input as we have come to a consensus with our fans of West Texas regarding our new identity," commented Owner Randy Sanders. "The 'Venom' symbolizes a sheik, tough look that fans will be proud of."
Amarillo native Trace Hannah won the name contest and will receive two Venom season tickets for the upcoming season.
The color scheme includes black, red, gold and white, while the logo sports a serpent's tough lashing outward in an attack motion. Fans may visit govenom.com for more information throughout the season about the team, tickets, and upcoming promotions.
Fans who purchase their season tickets in full from now until March 1st will receive a FREE Venom shirt! Those who have already purchased their season tickets may claim their FREE shirt at the Venom office. Call 806-350-PASS.
