THE SERIES: It's hard to believe but it's already the eighth and ninth meetings of the season between the Amarillo Bulls and the Lone Star Brahmas. The Bulls haven't had much luck against the Brahmas with no victories in the first seven games but five have been decided by three goals or less.
Johan Lundgren and Keenan Sabatini each have two goals for the Bulls in the series. Forward George Mika has 19 shots on goal. Peter Kessel has netted five goals for the Brahmas, while Cody Wickline, Oskar Andren and Alex Berardinelli have three goals apiece. Wickline leads the team with 12 points.
BUSY SCHEDULE AHEAD: The Amarillo Bulls begin a stretch of five games in nine days. It starts Friday and Saturday in North Richland Hills to face the Brahmas before heading up to Topeka for games against their nasty rival the RoadRunners on Wednesday and Thursday at Kansas Expo Center Landon Arena. The Bulls then return home to host the Lone Star Brahmas next Saturday, Dec. 5 at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center.
BRAHMAS IN ACTION ALREADY IN WEEK: The Lone Star Brahmas have already played this week posting a 4-0 loss at home to the Wichita Falls Wildcats. Despite having 27 shots on goal the Brahmas were 0 for 8 on the power play. It was the Brahmas first regulation loss at home and second overall.
BULLS NOTES: The Amarillo Bulls have collected seven points in one goal games (2-5-3), while earning six points in games decided by three goals (3-4-0). In home action this year, the Bulls have only been outscored by three 35-32. Forwards Joey Molinario, Charlie Singerhouse, Nick Santoro, and Johan Lundgren have combined for 13 goals away from home this season. With Joey DiBenedetto missing Sunday's game at home versus the Odessa Jackalopes, Johan Lundgren becomes the remaining Amarillo Bulls player to have played in all 23 contests.
