BROADCAST INFO: Both games air live on CBS Sports Radio 1440 and www.amarillobulls.com beginning with pre-game show coverage at 6:45 pm with Denis J. Puska. Puck drop at 7 pm. Games also air on Pay-Per-View courtesy of Fast Hockey, high speed internet connection required.
THE SERIES: It's the seventh and eight meetings of the season between the Amarillo Bulls and the Topeka RoadRunners. The Bulls have collected three wins in a row in the season series, and all took place at Kansas Expo Center Landon Arena. Forward Omar Mullan leads the Bulls with three goals and four assists for seven points, while Mike Davis has four goals and an assist for five points. Forwards Kyle Sharkey, Sean Gaffney and Tyler Andrew lead the RoadRunners in points versus the Bulls. Gaffney has 11 points, while Sharkey has five goals.
STREAKS AND TRENDS: The Amarillo Bulls and the Topeka RoadRunners are among the leaders in shorthanded goals scored. The Bulls and the Runners are in a six-way tie for second place with seven shorthanded goals for, trailing the Janesville Jets who have eight. Bulls forward Mike Davis has been red hot with nine points in his last eight games, while Topeka forward Sean Gaffney has four assists in his last three games.
SOUTH DIVISION UPDATE: It's a slim three point lead for the Amarillo Bulls in the South Division entering play. The second-place Texas Tornado visits Corpus Christi this weekend, while Topeka is third nine points back. The two other teams in the South also see action as the Odessa Jackalopes meet the Wichita Falls Wildcats.
