Amarillo Bulls News Release

AMARILLO, TX - Even though the Amarillo Bulls have endured plenty of travel the past couple of months, they have still found time to give back in the community.

Bulls Captain Mike Davis as well as Alternate Captains Joe Grabowski, Matt Sieckhaus, and Brendan Vetter participated in the Panhandle Angels Foundation Annual Christmas Party. It's the fourth year in a row that the Bulls have taken part in the event.

The Panhandle Angels Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 2008, by a Pediatric nurse, and parent of a child who battled and survived cancer.

The Foundation's mission is to help families in the Panhandle Area who have a child battling cancer. The organization raises money to help families with the extra expenses they incur while going through treatments. One of their events is the Christmas party where the families are invited to lunch. The children who have cancer as well as their brothers and sisters are given gifts by Santa Claus.

During this recent party, a young child had requested a hockey stick and a puck, and the Bulls players made sure they autographed the stick and posed for a photo.

The Bulls mascot Rampage and staff members will visit children at Northwest Texas Hospital and BSA Hospital on Monday afternoon to help make their Christmas a little brighter.

The past few months has seen the Bulls players give tirelessly back in the community. Events have included Family Science Nights at the Don Harrington Discovery Center, as well as visits to schools in Amarillo and Canyon as part of the Bulls Against Bullying Program.

In just a few short days hockey returns to the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center. On Friday and Saturday, the Amarillo Bulls host the Wichita Falls Wildcats at 7 pm. Santa Claus will be at the game on Friday and fans can come out early and get a picture with him. Saturday is the annual Teddy Bear Toss in Support of Toys For Tots.

Fans are encouraged to bring a new or gently used Teddy Bear or Stuffed Animal to the game and when the Bulls score their first goal, throw the toys onto to the ice. The Teddy Bears will be collected and given to the Toys For Tots Program. It's also CISD weekend with great pricing offered for students, parents, teachers and support staff.

Tickets are available at the Bulls Office located at 301 South Polk, Civic Center Box Office and all Panhandle Ticket Outlets. For further information on Group Rates, or the Christmas Stocking Stuffer Package, please call the Bulls Office at 806-242-1122.
