NEXT AT HOME: The Amarillo Bulls return to home ice on Friday, Feb. 13 and Saturday, Feb. 14 when they host the Corpus Christi Ice Rays at 7 pm. Friday is sponsored by AT&T with the first 500 fans receive a Jason goalie mask. Saturday is Super Hero Night in support of the March Of Dimes. The Bulls will wear Super Hero Jerseys with an auction to follow immediately after the game and proceeds to benefit the March Of Dimes.

THE SERIES: It's the final two regular season meetings between the Amarillo Bulls and the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees. The Bulls own a mark of 2-3-1 record in the preview six games taking the closing contests of the previous two weekend series in South Texas and most recently on home ice. Forward Charlie Combs leads the Bulls in goals with three, while several players have two each. Cody Gylling has been terrific for the Bulls with six points, while goaltender Anton Martinsson has posted both victories. Despite not playing in the game on Saturday, Anthony Croston leads the Killer Bees with three goals and four assists for seven points. Stathis Soumelidis who was very effective last weekend has six points. Goaltender Nick Schmit has three of the four wins in the series.

WEEKEND RECAP: The Amarillo Bulls and the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees split the two games at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center last weekend. The Killer Bees won the first one 6-2 behind six different goal scorers and the standout goaltending of Nick Schmit. Tristan Rostagno and Brady Crabtree had the markers for Amarillo. In front of the biggest crowd of the year so far, the Bulls powered their way past the Killer Bees 4-2 the following night. Charlie Combs notched two goals, while Tristan Rostagno and Nick LeSage earned singles. Anton Martinsson had the win in goal.

SOUTH DIVISION PLAYOF UPDATE: The Amarillo Bulls own a one point lead over the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees for the sixth and final playoff spot in the South Division. The Bulls also have two more wins than their opponent. The two teams trail the Wenatchee Wild by as much as eight points for fifth place with two months to go in the regular season.

LET FEBRUARY BEGIN: It's certainly a busy a month of February for the Amarillo Bulls with two home series and plenty of travel away from home. The month also includes a trip for some players to the North American Hockey League's Top Prospects Tournament in Michigan. Once this week has concluded the Bulls have back-to-back home series against the Corpus Christi IceRays and the Wichita Falls Wildcats before heading to Wenatchee and their first ever trip to face the Wild.
