June 9, 2015 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Amarillo Bulls News Release
AMARILLO, TX - As the Amarillo Bulls get set to welcome their newest members to the team in the North American Hockey League Draft that will take place this afternoon at 1 pm, it's amazing to look back at the history of the selections by the numbers.
The Bulls will select 7th in the Draft which is the highest they have picked since 2011 when former Team Captain Mike Davis was chosen. Davis arrived in the Texas Panhandle and quickly became a fan favorite with his hard working style of play and left as one top point producers in Amarillo Bulls History.
Last year eight of the Bulls Draft picks were part of the roster to open the 2014-15 season. Brady Crabtree, Mike Damien Kyle Hartman, Will Harrison and Riley Christensen were part of the team that concluded play at the end of March.
Other familiar faces that were part of the Bulls Draft selections in the past five years included Roman Ammirato who has gone on to Union College; Clint Carlisle, Brady Ferguson and Brendan McGuire who have all come from the state of Texas as well as former Captain Ben Jentsch. Carlisle and McGuire are with Army, while Ferguson is currently at Robert Morris University.
In this year's NAHL Draft the Bulls will have seven selections including 5 in the first three rounds.
