Amarillo Bulls News Release

AMARILLO, TX - Following another successful Open Camp, the Amarillo Bulls are building towards their sixth Main Camp that takes place in mid-July in Chesterfield, Missouri.

More than 50 hopefuls took the ice in Monument, Colorado over the weekend and Head Coach Jon Rogger said he liked what he saw at the Camp.

"We were very pleased with the turnout we had," Rogger said. "Every game was close and competitive and from that we will probably move on about 12 players to our Main Camp. The overall talent level we thought was pretty high."

Rogger said that Andrew Sherman and his staff at the arena were excellent and took care of the Bulls well.

The Open Camp was one of the last opportunities for prospective players to get seen by the Bulls Coaching Staff and receive that all important invite to Chesterfield, Missouri where the Bulls will host Main Camp for the first time in that State.

"This sport has come a long way from 10 or 15 years ago where now there are literally camps all over the country like Fargo (North Dakota), Green Bay (Wisconsin), Bloomington (Illinois), Nashville (Tennessee) and even Las Vegas (Nevada)," he said. "The talent pool is growing and there are so many good hockey players out there. One of the reasons why we did these camps is so that players can get seen multiple times and that is to their benefit. For some of these players, it's my first look at them. There are a lot of kids that have certainly impressed me and will have a legitimate shot at making the Bulls team."

Several of the Bulls Draft Picks and Tenders have attended USHL team camps making it a busy time for Jon Rogger and Assistant Coach Mike Watt. The duo has been on the road not only to watch those players, but others that have caught their eye.

"Some of the players we have seen can definitely make an immediate impact in the North American Hockey League this upcoming season," said Rogger. "We are excited of where we're at and know that there will be some tough decisions ahead of us at Main Camp."

Even though the Amarillo Bulls season is still several months away, now is the best time to think about various ticketing plans and options that are available. One of the plans allows fans to spread out their payments over six (6), eight (8) or (10) ten months which allows them to save money over walk up prices. Another way for fans to get involved is through a new Ticket Share Program. Those fans who can't make it to all 28 games, can share tickets with another couple or family. This allows people to pay half the price, and make the games they can.

Season tickets including the playoffs begin at $339 for Silver; $445 for Red; $515 for Glass; $589 for Pit; and Children 12-and-Under are $250. There are many great benefits to being a Season Ticket holder including guaranteed same seat, redeem unused tickets, skating after the games, invitation to Season Ticket Pick-Up Party as well as other exclusive events.

To take advantage of the new programs or to set up an easy payment plan, please call the Bulls Office at 806-242-1122 or drop by 301 South Polk in the Amarillo Building.
