
Amarillo Bulls Announce Partnership with ESPN 1440 to Carry All Games

AMARILLO, TX - The Amarillo Bulls, proud members of the North American Hockey League, announced today an agreement with Cumulus Media ESPN 1440AM to carry all of its broadcasts for the inaugural season.
Under the agreement, all Bulls home and away, regular season and playoff games will be aired live on ESPN 1440, beginning with a pregame show, 15 minutes before the puck is dropped. Denis J. Puska returns to the Texas Panhandle and will serve as play-by-play voice for the Bulls.
"We are very pleased to announce a partnership with Cumulus Media," said Business Consultant Chris Laurie. "It is imperative that we broadcast all of our games to allow our fans to tune in and follow the Bulls both on the road and at home. We believe ESPN 1440AM is the perfect fit to become the home of the Bulls!"
The Amarillo Bulls will also be airing a one-hour radio show on Monday nights from 6 pm to 7 pm. The radio show will air mainly from the ESPN 1440 studios, but will also go on location to various restaurants across the Amarillo area. Fans will also be able to listen the games and the new radio show via the world wide web at www.amarillobulls.com.
"We are very excited to broadcast each of the games of the new Amarillo Bulls Hockey Club on KPUR-AM ESPN 1440," said Jack Light of Interim General Manager of Cumulus Media Amarillo. "Having this new level of hockey in Amarillo, and the return of Denis J. Puska doing the play-by-play -- will be a great combination for our listeners and the hockey fans throughout the area."
The first Amarillo Bulls game will air on Wednesday, Sept. 15 from the NAHL Showcase in Blaine, Minnesota against the Michigan Warriors. Details on the broadcast start-time will be known in the coming weeks. The Bulls home opener on Friday, September 24 against the Texas Tornado will serve as the first regular season broadcast. Coverage begins at 6:45 pm with the pre-game followed by the face-off.
