Alpena MI: The Alpena IceDiggers (16-5-1 33 pts.) continued they're winning ways last night in Marquette by dropping the Rangers (9-11-2 20 pts.) 4-3 in OT. The IceDiggers have won six in a row and is currently on the longest winning streak in the franchise's history since joining the NAHL in 2003.

Like on Friday the Rangers struck first this time early in the game when they took a 1-0 lead just 0:55 seconds into the contest. Midway through the first the IceDiggers would tie the score, the two teams would go to the break tied at one a piece.

Both teams traded goals in each of the next two periods to make the score 3-3 heading into overtime. Chris Hendrickson (Hancock MI) took advantage of an odd man rush in the extra frame to notch his second of the game and send the visitor's home win their North division leading 16th win of the season assisting on the game winner was NAHL scoring leaders Todd Rudasill (Powell OH) and Nolan Craner (Plainwell MI).

Alpena's other goals came off the sticks of Justin Stadler (Livonia MI) and Kerry Bence (St. Clair MI) Stadler also added an assist. IceDigger players collecting assists were Erik Peterson (Alpena MI), Drew Pierson (Pleasant Prairie WI), Mike DeGrazia (Novi MI) and Eric Roman (West Bloomfield MI).

Netminder Shawn Hunwick (Sterling Hts. MI) earned the win in net making 25 saves on 28 shots to pick up his 9th win of the season.

The IceDiggers continue their 10 game road swing when they visit the Traverse City North Stars (7-13-3 17 pts.) on Wednesday night at 7:00PM at Center Ice Arena. The North Stars are currently winless in their last 11 games. After the game on Wednesday the IceDiggers will get a chance to head home and visit family on Thanksgiving before heading to Ann Arbor on Friday and Saturday to take on the USA U-17 team (8-9-1 17 pts.).
