Alondes Williams Earns NBA G League Player of the Week Honors

Sioux Falls, SD - The NBA G League announced that Skyforce guard Alondes Williams has been named NBA G League Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 2 - Jan. 7.

Williams broke the Skyforce franchise record for points in a game, with 55 on 21-30 FGA on Sunday in a 138-130 victory over the Salt Lake City Stars. His performance was just the third game in NBA G League history of 55-plus points on 70-or-higher percent shooting from the field.

He averaged 32.7 points on 62.9 percent shooting (13/20.7 FGA), 38.8 percent from deep (2.3/6 3PA), 5.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists and plus-34 plus-minus in three games, where Sioux Falls went 3-0.

Williams and the Skyforce take on the Memphis Hustle tonight (Tuesday) on the road at the Landers Center in Southaven, MS, with tip-off slated for 7:00 PM CST. The team returns home this weekend (Friday and Saturday) with a back-to-back against the Austin Spurs. Both games will start at 7:00 PM CST from the Sanford Pentagon.
