TULSA, Okla. – Thurs., Mitch Allner and Antonio Dingle will travel to Spring Creek Elementary School (Broken Arrow Schools). The reason for the trip; the students do not appreciate the significance of good sportsmanship.

Holly Harris, concerned mother, requested the motivational speech in order to improve the attitudes of the children while engaging in competitive sports during lunchtime.

Harris, whose son Austin is in the class, hopes the discussion will have a positive impact on the youngsters. Harris said, "If we feel the kids have learned how to display good sportsmanship, they will once again be allowed to play soccer and other competitive sports together."

Allner and Dingle hope their advice and encouragement make contests fun again for the children. "I remember being a kid, and being really aggressive, so I know how these kids feel. But now I'm older and I know at that age, kids should just have a good time with some friendly competition," Dingle said.

Allner added, "Sports are for fun, and to keep you in shape. The most important thing is for your heart to be in the game, though."

This activity is similar to many Talons appearances. The Talons understand and recognize the importance of their role in the community as mentors for younger children. Contact the Talons office to invite Talons players, dance squad members, or "Swoop" to appear at your upcoming event. (918) 294-1000.
