Alley Cats Handle the Skyrockets

Anderson, IN (March 16, 2007) - The Indiana Alley Cats played a solid ballgame tonight and beat the Minot Skyrockets, 119-106. The Alley Cats picked up 6 quarter points in the victory and moved one game over .500 on the season.

The Alley Cats snatched the first quarter by a single point, 22-21. Minot bounced back to win the second and lead 66-65 at the half. Carl Edwards led all scorers with 15 at the break, while Ray Cunningham had 14 for Minot. Indiana came out strong in the second half and won the third quarter. They led by 9 going into the fourth quarter. The Alley Cats went on to win the fourth quarter by four.

Edwards paced the Alley Cats with 30 points. Chandler Thompson had a nice all-around game with 19 points (on 5 of 7 from beyond the arc), 9 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 steals. Will Caudle (21 points and 10 rebounds) and Josh Murray (14 points and 12 rebounds) each recorded double-doubles. Shaun Fountain contributed 11 points and 7 assists. DeAndre Walker rounded out the Alley Cats in double figures with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Indiana shot 50% from three-point range for the game.

Desmond Ferguson led seven Skyrockets in double figures with 21 points. Cunningham tallied 19 points and 9 rebounds. Jitim Young had 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 9 assists. David Harrison added 12 points and 6 rebounds. Darnell Miller, Ronnie Fields, and Jason Smith all finished with 10 points.
