
Alley Cats Drop a Close Contest

Anderson, IN (February 24, 2007) - The Indiana Alley Cats fell to the Great Falls Explorers tonight in a close contest, 117-112. They were only able to pick up one quarter point and dropped to 19-16 on the season.
The Explorers established a two point lead at the end of the first quarter, 31-29. The two teams tied the second quarter. Chandler Thompson and Carl Edwards led all scorers at the half with 13 points. Travis Garrison had 11 to lead Great Falls. The third quarter saw the teams tie, before the Explorers won the fourth by three.
Thompson and Edwards both paced the Alley Cats with 27 points apiece. Thompson also had a team-high 8 rebounds, and 5 assists. Edwards grabbed 6 rebounds. Shaun Fountain added 24 points, while Erick Barkley had 11 quick points before leaving with an injury.
Garrison led seven Great Falls players in double figures with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Malik Moore had a great all-around game, finishing with 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists. Jamar Howard and Eric Strand both tallied 16 points as well. The Explorers improved to 20-15 on the season.
