
Alley Cats Beat the Skyrockets for Second Time in Three Days

Minot, ND (January 2, 2007) - The Indiana Alley Cats opened up the New Year in style by picking up a victory at Minot, 117-105. The Alley Cats won all 7 quarter points. They improve to 7-8 overall and 3-2 against Minot this season.
The Skyrockets jumped out early to claim a 23-20 lead after the first quarter. They jumped out to a 9-2 lead on 5 quick points by Shaun Fountain. They continued their assault in the second quarter to take a 60-53 lead at the half. Indiana went on to win both quarters in the second half, securing their first sweep in quarter points this season.
Indiana was led by Fountain who finished with a game-high 34 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. J.J. Sullinger finished with a double double (22 points and 12 rebounds). Will Caudle matched Sullinger with 22 points and also recorded 7 rebounds. The Alley Cats had 2 other players in double figures. Erick Barkley tallied 18 points, while Chris Garnett had 12. Barkley tied Fountain with a team-high 6 assists.
Ray Cunningham led Minot with 30 points and 8 rebounds. Steve Castleberry had 20 points and 4 rebounds. Desmond Ferguson and Jitim Young also finished in double figures with 17 and 16 points, respectively. Young had a team-high 6 assists. Minot fell to 7-7 on the season with the loss.
The Alley Cats conclude their 2 game road trip on Thursday at Pittsburgh. Tip off is set for 7:05 against the Xplosion. The Alley Cats return home to face the Skyrockets on January 7th at 3:00.
