
Allen's Rejean Beauchemin Named Oakley CHL Goaltender of the Week

GLENDALE, AZ (January 31, 2012) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Allen's Rejean Beauchemin has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Week for the period ending January 29, 2012.

The Winnipeg, Manitoba native had an outstanding week in net seeing action in four games in a six-day stretch.
Beauchemin went 3-1 during the week with two shutouts and allowed just four goals during the four games on 88 shots faced.
The 6-1, 200-pound goalie started off his week on Tuesday night against the Arizona Sundogs where he stopped all 24 shots faced and won the game for his team, 2-0. He then followed that up with another shutout blanking the Wichita Thunder on 20 shots in a battle for first place in the Berry Conference.
Beauchemin allowed just three goals on Saturday night but lost to Rio Grande Valley, 3-0, but then bounced back with a 28-save effort in a 4-1 win over the Killer Bees on Sunday.
On the season, Beauchemin has a record of 10-4-4 leading all goaltenders in the CHL with a 2.03 goals against average and a .932 save percentage.
Beauchemin joins Brian Mahoney-Wilson (Nov. 15) and Marco Cousineau (Nov. 22) as Allen goaltenders that have won the weekly award this season. Mahoney-Wilson is now with Bloomington and Cousineau is on re-call with the American Hockey League.
