Allen Wranglers Indoor Football Announce 2012 Schedule

The Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League have announced their 2012 schedule as the team gets ready for its second year at the Allen Event Center in Allen, Texas. The regular season begins on Saturday, February 25th with the Wranglers hosting the Wichita (Kansas) Wild @ 7:05pm. Allen will play a fourteen game regular season schedule with seven home games at the Allen Event Center. All Wranglers home games will be on Saturday nights this season.

Allen Wranglers Tryouts This Saturday (October 29th)

The Allen Wranglers have announced their first open tryout, for the 2012 season, on Saturday, October 29th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Blue Sky Sports Complex in Allen. Doors will open at 8 a.m. for registration. "The Wranglers will be offering at least one IFL contract to play for the 2012 Allen Wranglers from this tryout," said Head Coach Patrick Pimmel. "This tryout will give us the opportunity to see some great talent from right here in Texas and from across the country."

Doors Open at 8 a.m. for registration

Tryout starts at 9 a.m.

Cost:

$75.00. The tryout will be limited to the first 100 to sign up, so register early.

Allen Wranglers Announce Staff Additions

The Wranglers have announced two new staff members. Team CEO & owner Jon Frankel has hired Jim Riggs as the team's Chief Operating Officer and Mallory Toliver as the new Wranglers Community Relations Director and Director of Merchandise.

Jim Riggs joins the Wranglers with extensive management experience in minor professional sports. Riggs was a part of the start-up of the ECHL (as the league Media Relations Director) and the start-up of the Central Hockey League (where he was the General Manager of the Memphis RiverKings for their first ten years in the CHL). During his time in Memphis, the RiverKings were twice named "Most Popular Sports Team" by The Memphis Flyer. Jim also has previous football experience as he served as the Team Consultant for the arenafootball2 Memphis Xplorers and also worked for the AutoZone Liberty Bowl Football Classic in Memphis. Most recently, he was the General Manager of the Bloomington Blaze & Bloomington PrairieThunder of the Central Hockey League. Riggs is a graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.

Mallory Toliver comes to Allen after serving as the Director of Community Relations and the Merchandise Manager for the Bloomington Blaze and Bloomington PrairieThunder of the Central Hockey League. She also has previous promotional and customer service experience with TEAM Enterprises and State Farm Insurance in Central Illinois. Mallory attended both Parkland College and Illinois Wesleyan University and is a former all-Illinois state high school softball player.
