Tulsa Oilers News Release

Shining Week:The Central Hockey League converges on Bossier-Shreveport this week for the Dodge CHL all-star game on Wednesday night. The Oilers resume regular season action Friday at Oklahoma City at 7:35 p.m. and then move on to play at Amarillo Saturday at 7 p.m. Friday's game can be heard on KRVT AM 1270 and via the internet at www.tulsaoilers.com while Saturday's game will be available only via the internet.

Iced Out: The Oilers dropped a 3-0 decision at Memphis last Tuesday then had two home games postponed due to inclement weather. Last Friday's game with Oklahoma City will be made up on Tuesday January 30th at 7:05 p.m. Fans can use their tickets from January 12th for the game on the 30th. Last Saturday' s game with Wichita is yet to be rescheduled. Tickets from January 13th will be honored for the make up date when it is determined.

Big Trade: While weather made it a quiet week on the ice, the Oilers made a significant trade with the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees last week. The Oilers acquired left winger Bill Newson, along with defensemen Kurtis Dulle and Jamie Lovell in exchange for left wing David Masse and defenseman Matt Medley.

Star Sightings: Last week's trade involved two all-stars. Medley and Dulle had been named to represent their respective conferences and will do so at Wednesday's game. Thus Medley will play for the Northern conference, and Dulle for the Southern conference. Mike Wiggins is also representing the Oilers in the Dodge all-star game.

Tickets Here: Oiler tickets are available at all Carson Attraction locations, Drug Mart stores, and by phone at (918) 584-2000.
