
All-Star Mlotkowski Back To The Mound For 'Bolts

Crestwood, IL - The Windy City ThunderBolts have signed pitcher Mike Mlotkowski for the 2007 season. Mlotkowski started last year with Windy City and made the All-Star team before being traded to Gateway in August.
The right-hander completed his first full season of professional baseball in 2006. Combined between Windy City and Gateway, Mlotkowski went 5-6 with a 4.05 ERA in 19 games. He struck out 83 batters and walked 68 in 95.2 innings pitched. At the All-Star Break, Mlotkowski was 2-3 with a 3.12 ERA. Teammates Clemente Bonilla and Brian Beuning joined Mlotkowski on the victorious West Division squad.
Mlotkowski and pitcher Noah Russo were dealt to Gateway at the trading deadline for outfielder Kevin House. Mlotkowski ended up beating the ThunderBolts in a start for the Grizzlies later in August.
The Virginia native was a standout at Oklahoma City University before signing with the ThunderBolts. He was named the MVP of the 2005 NAIA World Series and was a 2005 NAIA First Team All-American.
The ThunderBolts have released the team's 2007 schedule and will host the Rockford RiverHawks for Opening Night at Hawk Ford Field on May 23, 2007. The complete schedule can be found at www.WCThunderBolts.com.
