Chillicothe Paints News Release

The Chillicothe Paints Professional Baseball Club are excited to announce the signing of former Clemson University star, Travis Storrer, to a contract for the 2007 season.

Storrer was a three-year starter for the perennial powerhouse Clemson Tigers, and was selected the team co-captain his senior year. In 2006, the Tigers captured the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament championship and a berth in the NCAA Division I World Series, finishing the season with an eye-catching 53-16 overall record.

During his brilliant three-years with Clemson, Travis boasted a career .331 batting average that included 121 RBI's and 22 home runs. He was named 2nd-Team All-ACC his junior year after committing no errors on 92 chances at his right field position. He played second base for the Tigers in his sophomore season and committed just four errors that year for a .985 fielding percentage.

Storrer, age 23, is described as a "line drive" hitter and having a "very accurate throwing arm" by the Clemson U. media guide.

Travis makes his home in Mount Vernon, Washington.
