All-Star Game Tuesday At Pepsi Coliseum

ALL-STARS IN INDY: The Ice and the city of Indianapolis are hosting the 2010 USHL All-Star Game this Tuesday from Pepsi Coliseum. The two-day festival will also feature a USHL All-Star Gala tonight at the Indianapolis Marriott North with special guests Jimmy Carson and Scott Howson. Prior to the All-Star Game on Tuesday, there will be a "Legends Game" featuring 14 former NHL'ers and past professional players from the Racers, Checkers and Ice. As for the All-Star game itself, Ice players Cab Morris, Nick Bailen, Nick Mattson, Max Cook, Shane Berschbach and Bryon Paulazzo will suit up for the East Division. VIOLENT STORM: The Ice' struggles with the West Division continued over the weekend as the team went 0-1-1 in two games against the Tri-City Storm. Indiana fell to Tri-City 3-1 on Friday, before losing to the Storm in a shootout on Saturday 4-3. Overall, the Ice is just 8-10-2 against their foes from the West.

1/22/10 vs. TRI- Tri-City goaltender Steven Bolton stopped an opponent season-high 42 shots, while Cab Morris stopped 25 for Indy. Max Cook had the lone marker for the Ice.

1/23/10 vs. TRI- Tri-City rallied for three unanswered goals to force the shootout. The Ice received second period goals from Bryon Paulazzo, Shane Berschbach and Alex Wideman.

ALL-STAR LINER: Indy's all-star line of Bryon Paulazzo, Max Cook and Shane Berschbach has combined for 33 points (10G, 23A) in their last ten games.

PLAYER TIDBITS: New additions to the Ice roster last week included forward Jacob Fallon and goaltender Sam Marotta...Fallon, a Michigan commitment, played in six games this year with the USNTDP, while Marotta has been the top goaltender for South Shore (EJHL)...Cab Morris enters the All-Star break first in the USHL in SV% (.920)...Nick Bailen is fifth among USHL d-men in points (23).

TEAM TIDINGS: The Ice has scored just five goals in their last four games...Indiana had a season-high 43 shots on goal in Friday's loss to Tri-City...The Ice is winless in their last four games (0-3-1)...Indiana owns the league's best home penalty kill (88.9%) and second overall (86.3%)...The Ice has yielded the least amount of shorthanded goals (3) in the USHL this season....Indy has outscored their opponents 41-30 in the second period of games this year, but has been outscored 30-23 in the first.
