(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Knighthawks announced today that WYSL 1040-am and WYSL.com will broadcast all 16 regular season games during the 2009 National Lacrosse League season. All but one of the games will be carried live with the Friday, January 16th game at Buffalo airing tape-delayed at 10:00 p.m.

Rochester opens the season at home on Saturday, January 10th against the Philadelphia Wings at 8:05 p.m. Play-by-play broadcaster Craig Rybczynski returns for his eighth season behind the microphone. Lacrosse radio veteran Brendan McDaniels and Knighthawks star forward John Grant will also provide color commentary on select broadcasts.

The broadcasts will feature a 15-minute pregame show, which will include pregame analysis and a team-by-team breakdown. Fans can also listen to the halftime interviews with Knighthawks players and stick around after the game for postgame interviews with players and coaches on each broadcast.

WYSL is also the radio home of the Rochester Americans and Knighthawks radio show, "Power Play." The show is broadcast live on-location at The Distillery at 3010 Winton Road South each Monday night at 6:30 p.m. The hour-long program features interviews with Amerks' and Knighthawks' players, coaches and staff, and covers news and notes from the American Hockey League and NLL. Each show is podcast on wysl1040.com.
