The Albany Dutchmen (5-2) and the Saugerties Stallions (4-3) both had scoring chances on Friday, but it was the Albany Dutchmen that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 6-3 win at Cantine Memorial Veterans Field.
It was a tough night for Stallions hitters, as they were not able to capitalize on many run scoring opportunities, as they left 8 runners on.
JJ Shimko(University of South Carolina Upstate) racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Albany Dutchmen. He singled in the third, fifth, and seventh innings.
The Saugerties Stallions had no answer for Joe Pokrentowski(The College of Saint Rose), who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Saugerties Stallions managed just two hits off of the the Albany Dutchmen's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his three innings of work.
Tyler Noe (University Of Massachusetts Lowell) racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Saugerties Stallions. He singled in the fourth and sixth innings and tripled in the eighth inning.
Anthony Rocco (Pace University) was the tough luck loser tonight as he pitched sox innings, struck out three, walked two, and allowed two runs.
