Seizing The Opportunity: Ben Thomson, who is entering his third season, is completely aware of the chance he will have to make an impact in the AHL, which could potentially earn him a NHL recall.
"The biggest thing in hockey is you have to take those opportunities and run with it," Thomson said. "Whether that's getting into the Albany lineup or getting some games in the NHL. You have to seize the opportunity."

Devils Divide Squad: The New Jersey Devils are splitting the roster for their pair of preseason games Monday. The team hosts the Philadelphia Flyers at Prudential Center (7 pm) and also travels to face the Montreal Canadiens at Bell Centre (7:30 pm).

Social Breast: The Albany Devils twitter feed produced a few short clips from Sunday's on-ice sessions, giving fans a look-in at the action at Barnabas Health Hockey House. The Devils followed a similar schedule as the previous two days with three groups and a scrimmage.
