Albany Devils News Release

TODAY'S STORYLINES

Devils Add Gibbons: The Albany Devils added depth to the forward position, signing Brian Gibbons to an AHL contract today. Gibbons, who attended New Jersey Devils Training Camp as a tryout, is a veteran of more than 300 professional games: 257 outings in the AHL and 66 in the NHL. His career totals include 124 points, including 39 goals and 85 assists in the AHL and 22 points, backed by five goals and 17 helpers in the NHL.

"It's been a little stressful over the summer and during the last couple of weeks not knowing where you are going to end up for sure," Gibbons said. "I definitely wanted to end up in the Devils' organization. I'm happy to land here in Albany."

Six Players Assigned To Albany: Add six more to the Albany Devils Training Camp roster. The New Jersey Devils have returned defensemen Vojtech Mozik and Karl Stollery and forwards Blake Coleman and Blake Pietila. Additionally, the NHL club assigned defenseman Brandon Gormley and forward Rod Pelley to the AHL Devils.
