ALBANY, NY - The Albany Conquest of arenafootball2 opens its sixth season Friday, April 6, 2007 against the Mahoning Valley Thunder at 7:00 p.m. at Pepsi Arena.
The Conquest 2007 home schedule features three Friday night and five Saturday match-ups. Friday home games are slated for 7:00 p.m. kick-offs. Saturday home games will have a 4:00 p.m. kick-off.
Each team will play a total of 16 games, consisting of eight home and eight away. The af2 alignment consists of the American and National Conference with three divisions per conference. The East, Midwest and West Divisions fall into the American Conference, while the Central, Southwest and South compose the National Conference. Sixteen (16) teams make up the American Conference and fourteen (14) make up the National Conference. The addition of nine new teams for 2007 created the need for the divisions to be realigned from 2006. The Conquest are in the East Division, along with the Mahoning Valley Thunder, Manchester Wolves and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers. The league's 18-week, 240-game regular season schedule concludes July 28, 2007.
