ANCHORAGE, Ak (June 12, 2008) -- Keith Smith rushed for three passes and threw two more as the Alaska Wild defeated the Frisco Thunder 46-25 in the Intense Football League Thursday night.

The Wild (5-7) held the Thunder without an offensive touchdown until the fourth quarter as Alaska snapped a five-game losing streak and extended the Frisco (6-7) skid to three.

Frisco can still clinch a playoff berth if it wins its regular season finale at San Angelo June 28 and either Alaska, Odessa or Katy lose one of their remaining games.

Kevin Lenford's 50-yard kickoff return gave Frisco an early 7-3 lead. A defensive safety that cut it to 16-9 in the second was the Thunder's final score until backup quarterback Hunter Sims connected with Daron Lawrence with 7:08 remaining and again on the game's final play. Ricky Madison scored a pair of two-point conversions.
