Greenville Swamp Rabbits News Release
Greenville, SC: The Greenville Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, announced today that Alan Fuehring will join the organization as the team's play-by-play broadcaster and Media Relations Manager.
"We are excited to have Alan join our team," said Road Warriors General Manager Chris Lewis. "Alan brings professional play-by-play experience to our booth and will also be a valued member of our ticket sales team. I think our fans will enjoy the way that he will deliver the excitement of Road Warriors hockey this season."
Fuehring comes to the Road Warriors after spending last season with the Peoria Rivermen of the Southern Professional Hockey League. In addition to being Peoria's play-by-play broadcaster, Fuehring also oversaw media relations, maintained the organization's website and social media pages, and served as an account executive. The Morton, Illinois native was very active in the community and was a key corporate sales producer for the Rivermen.
"I am very excited to take the next step in my career and become a part of the Road Warriors organization," Fuehring said. "The Road Warriors have been consistently competitive on the ice and the team is heavily involved in the community. I am looking forward to joining the front office, serving a great fan base and becoming an active member of the Greenville community."
Prior to last season, Fuehring spent nearly three years as a member of Rivermen's media relations department during the team's tenure in the American Hockey League. Alan helped produce several broadcasts and handled play-by-play duties for a number of games. Fuehring, 24, also worked at FOX Sports in nearby Charlotte, North Carolina, where he produced racing-related video content for SPEED Channel/FOX Sports 1. While in Charlotte, Alan also spent time with the Charlotte Checkers organization. In addition, Fuehring's media relations career includes time with the Peoria Chiefs Baseball Club and KABC-TV in Los Angeles.
A 2012 graduate of Bradley University, Fuehring began his broadcasting career as the play-by-play voice for many of the university's athletic teams including men's soccer, baseball and women's basketball. Alan has a Bachelor of Science Degree in sports communication.
