Alabama Steeldogs Announce Second Open Tryout

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The date is set for the Alabama Steeldogs' second open tryout leading up to the 2007 season.
The tryout will be held on Sunday, February 25th from 1-5 p.m. at SportsBlast Shelby County. Registration for the event will be from 1-2 p.m.
"I've had the opportunity to uncover a lot of hidden talent at camps like these over the years and I expect to do the same this time," Selesky said. "This is a great chance for talented players all across the area to come out and see if they have what it takes to be a Steeldog."
The workout will consist of timing and measurement in the following skill areas: 40-yard dash, 20-yard pro shuttle, and standing broad jump. Additionally, all players will be evaluated in position-specific agility and technique drills, one-on-one, and three-on-three drills.
The tryout fee is $50 (cash only). The fee includes an official Alabama Steeldogs training camp t-shirt.
SportsBlast is an indoor facility with AstroTurf surfaces, Turf or tennis shoes are allowed, cleats and spikes are not. Normal workout/training gear (shorts/t-shirts) is recommended. Please bring your own beverages. Lodging and/or transportation to and from the workout will be at the player's own expense.
