
Alabama Hammers Announce 2015 Schedule

The Alabama Hammers have announced its schedule for the 2015 season of play in the Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL). The 2013 PIFL Champions will play 12 games over 13 weeks with the lone bye week being a league-wide break during the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend, May 22-25, 2015.
The Hammers will open the 2015 campaign in Nashville against the defending PIFL Champion Nashville Venom on Friday, March 27. The Hammers will also travel to Erie, Pennsylvania on June 6 to tangle with the PIFL's newest team, the Erie Explosion, which joins the eight-team league in 2015.
On the home front, the Hammers will play six home games in the Propst Arena of the Von Braun Center including five Saturdays and one Friday night contest all with a kickoff at 7:00 p.m. The home opener will be April 11 versus the defending PIFL Champion Nashville Venom. The remainder of the schedule includes April 18 when the Hammers host the Harrisburg Stampede, co-owned by New Orleans Saints receiver Marques Colston; May 2, they'll face the Richmond Raiders; Friday, May 8, the Trenton Freedom visit the Rocket City; June 13, Lehigh Valley Steelhawks will challenge the Hammers; June 20, the arch-rival Columbus Lions make its visit to Huntsville.
The Hammers also welcome its first year head coach Cosmo Dematteo.
