Grand Prairie AirHogs News Release

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas - The Grand Prairie AirHogs have named John Bilbow the team's new general manager. Bilbow comes to the AirHogs after three successful years as the owner/operator of two local restaurants. Before that, he served as the Fort Worth Cats' vice president and general manager from 2007-2009.

"I'm excited to join the AirHogs organization," said Bilbow. "I've thought highly of the AirHogs from the very first year they were in existence back in 2008. Grand Prairie is an outstanding city that has so many great businesses and organizations. I've always been impressed by the people who live and work in Grand Prairie and how much pride they have in their community. My goal is to get out and meet as many AirHogs fans as I possibly can in the coming weeks. Minor league baseball is so special and unique. Our goal is to bring another championship to Grand Prairie in the near future.

"I was lucky enough to be a part of three championships with the Cats from 2005-2007. The fans were such a key ingredient to the success of the team. We want to make QuikTrip Park the place to be in the summer and a destination place for families. It's all about offering affordable family entertainment as well as a great product on the field."

Bilbow, 42, joined the Fort Worth Cats in 2002 when LaGrave Field was re-built. He served in various capacities including vice president of sales/marketing and assistant general manager before being tabbed as the Cats' VP/GM in 2007. He oversaw all aspects of the Cats' front office operations during the season and off-season. Bilbow has lived in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for 20 years.

Prior to his stint with the Cats, Bilbow worked in commercial real estate and computer sales. He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a degree in marketing.

Bilbow and his wife Kendall reside in Arlington with their children Jylian, Mikey, Ivy and Patrick. He has also been involved in the Miracle League in the metroplex, whose baseball league gives children with disabilities the opportunity to play baseball. Bilbow is also on the Board of Directors at Lovers Lane Academy for the Deaf.
