Air Force Vs. Navy this Weekend at Historic Grainger Stadium

Kinston, NC - The Naval Academy takes on the Air Force Academy this Friday through Sunday at Historic Grainger Stadium in Kinston! The Freedom Classic brings college baseball back to Kinston as the Naval Academy and Air Force Academy battle in a three game series during the first annual event.

"We are honored and excited to come to Kinston and be a part of the inaugural Freedom Classic. Not only are we excited about the opportunity to be associated with the Kinston Indians organization, but also we're thrilled to play Air Force at Historic Grainger Stadium," said Navy Head Baseball Coach Paul Kostacopoulos. "We want to thank the City of Kinston, the Kinston Indians as well as everyone who had a hand in putting together this great event. We're hoping to have as many people as possible come out and be a part of it."

Game one of the series takes place this Friday at 6pm. Game two is on Saturday at 2pm. The series finale is Sunday, February 27th at 12:30 pm. Be sure to come early for each game as the National Anthem will feature a full field unveiling of a 40 by 60 foot American flag!

"The Air Force Academy is excited to come to Kinston, NC and play our brothers in arms-the United States Naval Academy," said Air Force Head Baseball Coach Major Mike Kazlausky. "The community of Kinston has gone above and beyond expectations to make this a first-class event. I can't thank Kinston, as well as the Kinston Indians Organization, enough for the attention to detail in every facet to make this an unforgettable event for our Cadets. We look forward in the years to come to return to Kinston on an annual basis!"

Single game tickets are just $2 for active or retired military, veterans, students and seniors. Admission is only $5 for everyone else. Single game tickets are only available at the front gate before each game. Parking is free and a wide assortment of concessions (burgers, hot dogs, fries, soda, beer and more) will be served for each game!
