AIFL Southern Conference ProStars announced

DAYTONA BEACH , Fla. - The Rome Renegades placed six players on the American Indoor Football League's Southern Conference ProStars first team, it was announced today.

Rome , which won the conference regular season title with a 12-2 record and the tiebreaker over the Richmond Bandits, had four offensive players and two on defense make the first team.

Richmond had first team ProStars, as did the Raleigh Rebels. The Daytona Beach Thunder had three and Chattahoochee Valley Vipers one. On the second team, the Bandits had eight players, the Renegades four, the Thunder three, Raleigh two and the Vipers and Florence Phantoms one each.

Eight offensive players, eight defensive players and two special teams players were selected for each team. One player, Daytona Beach 's Robert Bailey, made it as a wide receiver and a kick returner. One extra defensive lineman was added to the second team due to a tie in the voting among 21 coaches and owners in the southern conference. The teams are as follows:
