Omaha Nighthawks News Release

OMAHA, NE - Wednesday, October 6 - The Omaha Nighthawks will spend their Wednesday afternoon with local middle school students for the third and final time this season. Approximately 150-200 students from three local middle schools will visit members of the Omaha Nighthawks on this afternoon at 4:15 p.m. at the Kroc Center.

Last week, students from Norris, King Science, and Lewis and Clark middle schools listened to Stuart Schweigert, Shaud Williams and Calvin Lowry discuss the value of hard work and respecting oneself and others. This week, students will hear from Omaha's favorite running back Ahman Green along with Williams and Lowry. Both Williams and Lowry have kindly volunteered their time for every session in the mentor program.

"The coaches and players of the Nighthawks are tremendous role models," said Major Todd Thielke, Senior Kroc Center Administrator. "They are a real inspiration to the youth at the Kroc Center and the Omaha community and we are thrilled to provide a facility that encourages positive, life-changing experiences for children and adults."

The Omaha Nighthawks will continue to reach out to Omaha youth through mentoring programs and community events throughout the season.
