AFL Announces Award Finalists

May 30, 2003 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I) News Release


NEW YORK – Following is the list of finalists for the 2003 ADT Defensive Player, Offensive Player and Ironman of the Year. The ADT Defensive Player of the Year will be announced Monday, June 2; Offensive Player of the Year on Tuesday, June 3; and Ironman of the Year on Wednesday, June 4.

This season, for the first time in history, AFL fans contributed towards selecting AFL award winners by voting online. The collective fan vote in each category counted as one coach's vote and will be used as a tiebreaker, if necessary, when compiled with the 16 head coaches' votes.

Following is a complete list of the AFL award finalists (listed alphabetically):
