AFL Announces 18-Week Regular Season Schedule

August 30, 2010 - Arena Football League (AFL)
Utah Blaze News Release

SALT LAKE CITY - The Arena Football League announced today that the regular season schedule will be extended from 16 to18 games. The league will consist of 19 teams and each will play 18 regular season games, with the option of two preseason games (one home and one away). The change was passed in an ownership vote last week during the league's Board of Directors meeting in Phoenix, AZ.

Due to the schedule change, there will now be nine home games for the Blaze at Maverik Center. Thus, current season ticket holders who have renewed for 2011 will now have tickets for an additional home game at no extra charge. Season Ticket Holders who have not renewed will have the opportunity to renew until Friday, September 10th and reserve their ninth game for the price of eight.

There were no ticket prices increases for the 2011 season and ticket prices will either be frozen or reduced allowing all Season Ticket Holders to remain part of the Blaze family.

Blaze Season Tickets for the 2011 season are on sale to the general public, but final seating will be determined following the Season Ticket Holder renewal process.

There are still big things to come for the Utah Blaze amidst the offseason. Make sure to follow the Blaze on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest news on the team. The 2011 Blaze Season Ticket Renewal process is also now underway. Call 888-99BLAZE to reserve your seat in the action or information can be found at www.utblaze.com.
