Your Corvallis Knights welcome longtime WCL South Division rival Bend to Goss this week.

* Tuesday, July 30th is Bi-Mart Beach Party & Back-to-School Night. Donate school supplies and get a pair of Knights' sunglasses!

* Wednesday, July 31st is Oregon State University's Salute to OSU Baseball presented by Washington Park Advisors. Wear Orange & Black and come celebrate Beaver Baseball.

* Thursday, August 1st is HOPE Night presented by HOPE 107.9 FM.

Earlier this season, your Knights earned their 13th straight playoff berth by capturing the WCL South first-half title. As the first-half champ, Corvallis also earned home field advantage in the Divisional Series. Game two is set for Goss Stadium on Wednesday, August 14th. First pitch is 6:30 pm.

Corvallis is currently in Bend, Oregon; and wrap their series at Vince Genna Stadium versus the Elks tonight at 6:35 pm. Bend took game one of the series 13-1, but the Knights bounced back yesterday with an 11-5 victory. Corvallis is 31-9 in WCL play, and 10-3 in the second half, 1.5 games ahead of second-place Cowlitz. The Knights are 39-9 overall, and go for their 40th win this evening.

Of the league's top five hitters, three are Knights with Brooks Lee of Cal Poly hitting .393 (2nd), Jake Holcroft of Portland batting .373 (3rd) and Briley Knight of Utah hitting .364 (5th). Several Knights are leading WCL offensive categories with Knight leading in slugging (.652), doubles (13), extra base hits (22), total bases (84) and RBIs (34); Holcroft leading in hits (62) and runs scored (44); and Andy Atwood of Texas Rio Grande Valley leading in at bats (170) and triples (6).

Corvallis starting pitcher Tevita Gerber of Dixie State leads the league in wins with 5. He goes for number 6 tonight as he's the Knights' probable starting pitcher at Bend.
