Quad City Steamwheelers 41, MANCHESTER WOLVES 39

MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Manchester Wolves (10-2) had their ten-game win streak snapped as the Quad City Steamwheelers (6-6) moved to the .500 mark with a 41-39 victory at Verizon Wireless Arena. Sam Clemons completed 20-of-41 passes for 262 yards and three touchdowns with one interception to guide the Steamwheelers back from a 12-point second half deficit. With under a minute to go Manchester had a final opportunity to win the game but the 'Wheelers defense held, forcing the Wolves to three straight incompletions and a missed 46-yard field goal. For Manchester J.J. McKelvey caught eight passes for 119 yards four touchdowns. William Haith earned ADT Defensive Player of the Game honors for his ten-tackle (7UA-6AT), one sack and one pass breakup performance. Quad City's Jack Walker Jr. caught nine passes for 77 yards and one touchdown.
Louisville Fire 73, ALBANY CONQUEST 63

ALBANY, N.Y. - It was an old fashion shootout at the Pepsi Arena as the visiting Louisville Fire improved to 7-5 with a 73-63 victory over the Albany Conquest (3-9). Louisville's Matt Sauk completed 20-of-27 passes for 240 yards and nine touchdowns with no interceptions. Cesare Manning caught 12 Sauk passes for 152 yards and seven touchdowns. Manning's seven touchdowns ties an af2 record for touchdown receptions in a game. Albany's D Bryant completed 28-of-44 passes for 335 yards and seven touchdowns with no interceptions. He also rushed for 15 net yards. Jeremiah Pope caught 12 passes for 143 yards and three touchdowns. Albany pulled within three points with 26 seconds left, but couldn't recover an onside kick to give the Albany offense one more shot with the ball.
GREEN BAY BLIZZARD 69, Birmingham Steeldogs 41

GREEN BAY, Wis. - Behind defense and special teams the Green Bay Blizzard (8-4) defeated the Birmingham Steeldogs (1-11) 69-41 at the Resch Center. The victory combined with the Albany Conquest loss gives Green Bay their first playoff berth in franchise history. The Blizzard returned three kickoffs for touchdown, forced six turnovers and recorded three sacks. Lance Taylor took a second quarter kickoff back for a touchdown. Brent Holmes returned a kickoff back for a score with 33 seconds left in the first half and then returned the opening kickoff of the second half 58 yards for a touchdown as well. David Crocker registered two interceptions for the Blizzard. Birmingham's Roger Linn threw for three touchdowns and ran for another. George Williams returned an interception 31 yards for the Steeldogs.
OKLAHOMA CITY YARD DAWGZ 50, Memphis Xplorers 47

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - In a back and forth contest the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz (7-5) beat the Memphis Xplorers (10-2) 50-47 at the Ford Center. Oklahoma City went up by three points with over three minutes left. Memphis' first shot to tie or take the lead ended when B.J. Barre intercepted a pass for Oklahoma City. Two plays later with Oklahoma City trying to run out the clock Khreem Smith recovered a fumble for Memphis and returned it to the Oklahoma City three-yard line. Michael Wall tried to sneak the ball in twice, but the Dawgz defense held and earned the victory. For the Yard Dawgz Craig Strickland threw five touchdown passes with Jarrial Jackson and Al Hunt both catching two touchdowns. Jackson also returned a kickoff 56 yards for a touchdown. In the place of Brian Jones, Wall threw four touchdown passes with Stephen Battle catching three.
Central Valley Coyotes 56, BAKERSFIELD BLITZ 28

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Central Valley Coyotes (6-6) moved back to the .500 mark with a 56-28 victory over the Bakersfield Blitz (4-8) at Rabobank Arena. The Coyotes shut out the Blitz in the second and third quarters as they went on a 35-0 run to pull away. Juston Wood completed 21-of-42 passes for 276 yards and six touchdowns with one interception for the Coyotes. His six touchdown passes went to five different receivers. For Bakersfield, Maurice Bryant caught nine passes for 112 yards and one touchdown and earned U.S. Army Ironman of the Game honors. The Central Valley defense was strong all night, with Joshua Robinson intercepting three passes to be named the ADT Defensive Player of the Game. Harber Briscoe picked off a pass and Cory Kipp recorded an interception for the Blitz defense.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers 65, SOUTH GEORGIA WILDCATS 46

ALBANY, Ga. - At the Albany Civic Center the South Georgia Wildcats (2-10) fell to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers (7-5) 65-46. The difference in the game was a Pioneers touchdown with two seconds left in the first half followed by a Pioneers touchdown on the second play of the second half to increase the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton lead to 15 points. Pioneers quarterback Brian Snyder completed 23-of-30 passes for 306 yards and seven touchdowns with one interception. Vennie Thomas and Rocco Forgione both caught three touchdown passes. For the Wildcats, Brian Zbydniewski threw for 374 yards and six touchdowns with one interception. Antwone Savage turned six receptions into 113 yards and four touchdowns. The Pioneers defense recorded one interception (by Jamie Hattley) and recovered three fumbles.
FLORIDA FIRECATS 40, Macon Knights 34

ESTERO, Fla. - The Florida Firecats (10-2) captured the South Division crown with a 40-34 victory over the Macon Knights (5-7) at the Germain Arena. The Knights had a chance late in the fourth quarter to take the lead. They moved down to inside the Firecats' five yard-line, but on third and goal Cainon Lamb forced and recovered a fumble to end Macon's hopes. Lamb also caught two touchdown passes. Florida's Chris Wallace threw for 206 yards and five touchdowns and one interception on 17-of-33 passing. With Steve Gorrie out, Chris Morant rushed three times for nine yards and one touchdown. On defense Morant also recorded an interception. Macon's Chris Johnson caught two touchdown passes. Matt Jackson had Macon's only interception on the night.
Arkansas Twisters 54, TULSA TALONS 48

TULSA. Okla. - In the surprise of the weekend, the Arkansas Twisters (3-9) topped the Tulsa Talons (8-4) at the Tulsa Convention Center. Coming into this season Tulsa had lost only one game at home over the last four seasons but the loss to Arkansas on Saturday was Tulsa's second at home this season. The Twisters' Kevin Feterik threw for 273 yards and seven touchdowns and no interceptions on 18-of-33 passing. His touchdown passes went to five different receivers with Ted Alford catching three. Josh Blankenship completed 23-of-39 passes for 298 yards and seven touchdowns with two interceptions. Donovan Morgan caught ten passes for 136 yards for three touchdowns. The difference in the contest was a third quarter which saw Arkansas shut out Tulsa 19-0. Tulsa is now tied with Rio Grande Valley for first place in the West Division.
AMARILLO DUSTERS 51, Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings 38

AMARILLO, Tx. - Without quarterback Julian Reese the Amarillo Dusters (8-4) defeated the Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings (3-9) by a score of 51-38 at the Amarillo Civic Center. In for Reese was Canadian Steve Panella. He became the first international quarterback to start an af2 game. He finished the game 24-of-34 for 239 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. In Julian Reese like fashion, Panella also rushed for three scores. Anthony Dingle caught eight passes for 111 yards and one touchdown. For the Battle Wings, Reggie Perkins and Chris Highshaw both caught two touchdowns. Perkins also led the team in tackles with six (all solo) and recovered a fumble. For Amarillo, Jimmy Gaston lead the team in tackles with 7.5 (7UA-5AT). Joe Massey recorded two sacks.
Rio Grande Valley Dorados 65, SAN DIEGO RIPTIDE 58

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - In a thrilling finish, the Rio Grande Valley Dorados (8-4) grabbed a tie for first place in the West Division with a 65-58 win over the San Diego Riptide (4-8) at the ipayOne Center. After starting quarterback Kane Claunch went out with an injury early, the Riptide were forced to use WR/DB Ryan Smith under center. Smith performed admirably leading the Riptide to a 28-20 halftime lead and a nine point lead with under 90 seconds left. But then the Dorados forced a safety and followed it up with a Chris Robinson touchdown to tie the game. After the teams traded possessions Rio Grande Valley lined up for a 35-yard field goal to win the game. It was missed but San Diego couldn't handle the bounce off the net, the Dorados Gathan McGinnis came down with the ball and ran in from the three-yard line for the game-winning touchdown. Offensive Player of the Game Josh Kellett completed 24-of-36 passes for 281 yards and four touchdowns
