The 2005 arenafootball2 regular season resumes this weekend after the Fourth of July hiatus. What better way to get things going again than with a brief preview of several key top games for Week 15, as well as the "Quick Picks"? So, what are we waiting for? Let's go! Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (7-5) at Manchester (10-2): The Pioneers make the trip up to northern New England for a Friday night showdown against the Wolves. Wilkes/Barre/Scranton looks to move one step closer to a playoff berth, while Manchester hopes to bounce back after seeing its ten-game winning streak end at the hands of the Quad City Steamwheelers on June 24. The Wolves defeated the Pioneers 46-33 on May 27.
Tulsa (8-4) at Memphis (10-2): The Talons square off against the Xplorers in a battle of National Conference division leaders Saturday night. Both teams come into this contest off heartbreaking upset losses, with the Talons falling at home to the Arkansas Twisters, while the Xplorers lost to the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz by a field goal.
Green Bay (8-4) at Quad City (6-6): The Steamwheelers play host to the Blizzard in a Saturday night inter-conference match-up with playoff implications. Although Green Bay has already clinched a playoff berth, the Blizzard still hopes of leaping past Manchester for the American Conference East Division title, and subsequent first-round bye. On the other hand, Quad City must win this game to stay in contention for the sixth and final playoff spot in the National Conference.
Oklahoma City (7-5) at Amarillo (8-4): The Yard Dawgz head into Texas in hopes of taking a bite out of the Dusters in a rare Sunday afternoon contest. Amarillo currently has the nod on third place in the National Conference playoff race, while Oklahoma City looks to make things even tighter with a win.
