Houston Aeros News Release


HOUSTON, Texas - The Houston Aeros split the pair of games in Milwaukee to start the West Division Finals of the Calder Cup Playoffs presented by the Maple Leaf Pub. Games 3, 4 and 5 return to Houston this Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday respectively with the best-of-seven series tied at one game apiece.

Game 2 - Sat., May 2 - Houston 1 at Milwaukee 4

Game 3 - Tue., May 5 - Milwaukee at Houston, 7:05 p.m.

Game 4 - Thu., May 7 - Milwaukee at Houston, 7:05 p.m.

Game 5 - Sat., May 9 - Milwaukee at Houston, 7:35 p.m.

*Game 6 - Mon., May 11 - Houston at Milwaukee, 7:00 p.m.

*Game 7 - Wed., May 13 - Houston at Milwaukee, 7:00 p.m.

The Aeros will welcome the Houston Dynamo of MLS for Tuesday's Cinco de Mayo game at 7:05 p.m. Dynamo Head Coach Dominic Kinnear along with goalkeeper Pat Onstad and defender Andrew Hainault will drop the ceremonial first puck and be signing autographs on the concourse during the first intermission.

Thursday's Game 4 will have KPRC-Channel 2's sports anchor Winston Dutchin dropping the ceremonial first puck before the 7:05 p.m. contest. Game 5 is the last of the guaranteed games for the series at this point and could be the final of the series if one team wins out from here. The 7:35 p.m. contest on Saturday is the last of the three games scheduled at Toyota Center.

Games 6 and 7 are slated for Monday, May 11 and Wednesday, May 13 in Milwaukee if necessary. All road games will be shown at the Maple Leaf Pub including these potential games in Milwaukee. The Maple Leaf Pub is located just south of downtown Houston at 514 Elgin Street.

Houston kicked the series off with a 2-1 victory last Thursday at the Bradley Center taking the 1-0 series lead. Milwaukee answered back by coming out of the gates first on Kentucky Derby Saturday before the Aeros tied the contest 1-1. Unlike the Kentucky Derby, the favorite did win as the #1 seed Admirals took the 4-1 victory, tying the West Division Finals series 1-1.
