Aeros to Take on Hershey in Semis

HOUSTON, TX - With their 3-2 Western Conference Quarterfinals series win over the Utah Grizzlies, the Aeros have advanced to the Conference Semifinals, and will take on the Hershey Bears. The best-of-seven series begins Friday April 26 (Ticket G) at Compaq Center. Game time is set for 7:30 PM. Game Two (Ticket H) will be Saturday, April 27 at 7:30 PM.

This will be the first ever meeting between the Aeros and Bears, who did not play each other during the Aeros' inaugural AHL season this year. The Bears began play in the 1938-39 season and in their 64-year history and have advanced to post season play in all but nine of those seasons. An eight-time Calder Cup winner, the Bears' last championship was in 1997, when they were led by then-head coach Bob Hartley. The Aeros have appeared in the playoffs seven of their eight seasons of play, and captured the IHL Turner Cup Championship in 1999.
