Houston Aeros News Release

HOUSTON, Texas – Randalls Food Markets and the Houston Aeros will team up to donate 100 Thanksgiving Turkeys to the End Hunger Network, the team announced Tuesday. The presentation is scheduled for this Sunday, Nov. 14th, as the Aeros take on the Edmonton Road Runners at 5:05 p.m. During the second intermission, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Ronnie Brennan, Randalls vice president of sales, and Houston Aeros Charities director Janna Brown will present the turkey donation to David Davenport, director of philanthropy for the End Hunger Network.

Also Sunday, the Aeros will hold a food drive at Toyota Center to benefit End Hunger Network. Fans can get $5 off a $20 corner seat by bringing a non-perishable food item to the game. Drop off locations will be at the Bell Street and La Branch Avenue entrances, as well as the sky bridge entrance. Coupons will only be given away at the Polk/La Branch entrance.

End Hunger Network strives to end hunger in the greater Houston area by providing donated food to partner agencies dedicated to serving Houston's poor and hungry. End Hunger Network removes the roadblocks—lack of transportation, marketing, and knowledge—that prevent the community from using available food resources.
