Lake Michigan Admirals News Release
Bangor, MI - The Lake Michigan Admirals have done something that no other professional basketball team has done in the history of southwest Michigan and that's start and finish two full seasons. The fans were on their feet cheering on their team. That's right, their team.
"I believe the fans have finally taken ownership of the Admirals," stated GM Chris Glisson.
The fans were screaming defense at the top of their lungs and the Admirals responded with stop after stop. The Stars came out on fire behind Sean Smith who had 11 of his 19pts in the first quarter and outscored the Admirals 28-22. Then the Admirals answered with a run of their own outscoring the Stars 27-18 to go into halftime 49-46. The teams were neck to neck going into the fourth quarter and the Admirals caught on fire behind All-Star Odgra Bobo scoring 15 of his 29pts in the 2nd half. The Admirals went on to win the game 112-104 over the Magical Stars.
Next game will be Saturday, March 12th at South Suburban College against rivalry foe, the Chicago Steam. There are tickets available for the fan bus for only $30 dollars which includes a ticket into the game. The bus will be leaving Lake Michigan Catholic's parking lot at 3:00pm.
