"Aceskating" Opens Tomorrow Night at Aces Ballpark

RENO - "Aceskating" is set to begin tomorrow night at Aces Ballpark! In addition to skating, skaters will experience a fun-filled evening with many opening night festivities.

Skating begins at 6:00 p.m. and ends at 10:00 p.m. on opening night. Festivities include:

- First 250 people receive a free skate rental voucher for a future Monday-Thursday skate session

- First 250 people receive a free hot chocolate and churro

- Appearance by Santa Claus

- Performance by national competitor Evan Bender, national competitor and former pro figure skater Christine Hotchkin, and skaters from the Tahoe Figure Skating Club

- "Silver Dollar Chorus" Christmas carols beginning at approximately 6:15 p.m.

The rink, which is located in front of Aces Ballpark, returns with a larger skating surface and will remain open until the middle of February, weather pending.

Normal skating hours will be 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday. Extended holiday hours will go from December 18-January 10 with skating hours from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. every day of the week.

Admission per session is $8 for adults/teens (13-54 years old), $6 for children (3-12 years old) and $6 for seniors (55+ years old), plus $3 skate rental per person. 10-visit punch passes are available along with discounts for groups of 20 or more.
