Reno Aces News Release

RENO, Nev. - The Reno Aces return home Saturday night for a nine-game homestand highlighted by a daylong July 4 celebration, fireworks, giveaways and a pair of regional rivalries.

The action kicks-off in a big way Saturday night with the Aces 4th of July Celebration presented by Channel 2 News, as Reno takes on division-leading Sacramento at 7:05 p.m. The fun begins with a pregame festival in the Aces Ballpark plaza at 3:30 p.m. The festival will include music, kids attractions and a Coors Light Beer Garden. At 4:30 p.m., Aces outfielder Trent Oeltjen and All-Star infielder Rusty Ryal will hold a pregame autograph session, to be followed by a 5 p.m. concert by Top-40 country artist Dean Brody. After Saturday's game, the Aces will present their biggest fireworks show of the season and afterward kids are invited to run the bases, courtesy of Dr. Welmerink.

Sunday is a Fox 11 Family Sunday, with kids once again invited to run the bases, thanks to Dr. Welmerink.

Monday is the first of four Reno Gazette-Journal Family 4-Pack Nights. Families can pick up four tickets, four hot dogs and four soft drinks for just $44. Additional tickets can be purchased for $11.

On Wednesday, the Aces renew their rivalry with the Las Vegas 51s in the Silver State Diamond Challenge.

Thursday is another Coors Light Thursday Night, with $2 Coors Light available from 6 p.m. PT until the fifth inning.

Friday is Silver Legacy/Eldorado Fireworks Night, presented by KOLO 8. Kids can once again run the bases, courtesy of Dr. Welmerink, for each of the last three nights of the homestand.

Then it's on to an Aces Saturday, presented by KRNV. That night, 2,500 fans will take home an Aces T-shirt, presented by Terrible's.

The homestand comes to a close with a Fox 11 Family Sunday. First pitch is set for 1:05 p.m., as the Aces close out the first half of the season before the three-day Triple-A All-Star break.
