Aces Present First Kids' Day of Season

Alexandria, LA; May 30, 2006 - The Alexandria Aces of United League Baseball (ULB) and the City of Alexandria begin their summer schedule of Kids' Days at Bringhurst Field tomorrow morning at 10:35 a.m. The Aces and the Alexandria Recreational and Educational Program will be giving away sports bottles to the first 500 kids in attendance as the Aces take on the Laredo Broncos in the first game of a three-game series.

As with all Kids' Days this summer, general admission tickets for all fans are only $2, and children are invited to bring their own lunch. The Aces and the City of Alexandria will also be sponsoring giveaways and entertainment on the four remaining Kids' Days June 14, June 28, July 19, and August 9.

The Aces open a six-game homestand tonight at 7:05 p.m. against Laredo and continue against the Broncos Wednesday and Thursday. Thursday's 7:05 p.m. game is a Vault Thirsty Thursday and Louisiana Lottery Shirt Off Our Back Night.

The Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings come to town for a three-game weekend series Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The Aces and Mid-State Orthopaedic Sports Medicine will be giving away replica jerseys to the first 500 kids in attendance at Friday's game. Saturday night's game is the Capital One Back-to-Back Championship Celebration, including bobblehead dolls of former manager Stan Cliburn for the first 500 fans in attendance. The homestand concludes Sunday at 5:05 p.m. with the Best Family Deal ever, featuring a ticket, a hot dog, a drink, a bag of chips, and a treat for just $5.
