March 13, 2013 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Reno Aces News Release

RENO, Nev.-Aces Ballpark will host the San Francisco Giants World Series trophies this Saturday afternoon, as the only Nevada stop on the San Francisco Giants World Championship Trophy Tour presented by Bank of America.

The trophies will be on display at Aces Ballpark from noon-2 p.m. Saturday, adding to the excitement of the Aces single-game on-sale ticket day. Single-game tickets will be on sale at their lowest price of the season beginning at 10 a.m., and a select number of tickets for the 2013 Triple-A All Star Game, Home Run Derby and FanFest will go on sale starting at 11 a.m. The Reno Aces 2012 Triple-A National Championship trophy and Pacific Coast League Championship trophy will also be on display.

The Giants World Championship Trophy Tour presented by Bank of America is the second public trophy tour in the past three years to pass through Reno, and will feature both the 2012 and 2010 trophies. The focus of the San Francisco World Championship Trophy Tour presented by Bank of America is to share the trophies with Giants fans in Junior Giants communities throughout northern California and northern Nevada.

The Giants organization is working in partnership with their Junior Giants Leagues to create public viewing opportunities in select cities throughout the month of January, February and March. Fans will have the chance to have their photo taken with the trophies and to support their local Junior Giants Baseball League.

There have been a large number of fans attending each of the trophy viewings. The Giants and Aces intend to accommodate as many fans as possible during the viewing time period. Fans can take photos of the trophies with their personal cameras up to a designated area while waiting in line. Once fans have reached that designated area, only the professional photographers will be allowed to take a posed photo of each fan or group.

Fans are advised to arrive early as the line will be cut off, if needed, to allow the trophies to leave at the designated end time. A Giants representative will assess and determine a cutoff point in line. A fan who arrives during the designated viewing time is not automatically guaranteed a photo with the trophies. Fans are accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Aces begin their defense of the Pacific Coast League Championship and Triple-A National Championship on Thursday, April 4 in Colorado Springs. Reno will host the Aces Ballpark home opener on Friday, April 12, with first pitch slated for 6:35 p.m. Discounted full and partial season tickets are on sale now. All ticket plans include tickets to the 2013 All-Star Game and Home Run Derby. For more information, and to purchase an Aces ticket plan, call (775) 334-4700.
