
Abe Thompson Named USSF D-2 Player of the Month After Stellar September

Miami, Oct 1, 2010 - Abe Thompson was rewarded for helping lift Miami FC to a winning record this past month as the USSF Division-2 Professional League September Player of the Month. Thompson scored six goals during the past month, helping the Blues go into the final game of the season with four consecutive victories.
The American forward turned in one of the strongest performances in Miami FC history with a hat trick on Sept. 22 in a 4-2 win over AC St. Louis at home and scored in four of the Blues' five games throughout the month of September.
Thompson has surged among the league leaders, currently tied for fifth in the league in points (20) and tied for fourth in the league in goals (9).
The USSF D-2 Pro League Player of the Month is selected by a panel of journalists comprised of members of print, television, radio and online media hailing from each of the 12 USSF D-2 Pro League clubs' local markets.
